Abnr is the musical project of Portland, Maine native Aaron Ranta. A lifelong musician, Abnr began producing electronic music in 2012. 

 

His sound is eclectic and ever-evolving, but he’s best known for creating bass-driven, dance-inducing experimental tracks that blur genre lines.
Abnr’s first residency was at The Red Door in Portsmouth, NH, where he sharpened his DJing skills and drew inspiration from fellow residents like The Juan Maclean and Green Lion Crew. 

 

A decade later, Abnr has toured nationally from clubs in cities to festivals in the forest and pushes boundaries with live mixing, most recently on support for Of the Trees’ Moonglade northeast dates.

His original productions have been released on labels including Subciety Presents, Coal Mine Sound, FEYK Collective, Keepin’ It Underground, Drip Network, and a series of independent releases.
