Biography: The Brooklyn-based MC earned his stripes as one of the most lyrically-gifted, socially aware and politically insightful rappers to emerge in the last 20 years. “I’m a touring artist. I’m an artist that’s internationally known. I’m not just a local artist at this point in my career. I’m cognizant of the fact that what I do is beyond where it started. I’m trying to reach the apex of where I am now, but without turning my back on or dismissing what I’ve done before.” After nearly 20 years of releasing mesmerizing music, Talib Kweli stands as one of the world’s most talented and most accomplished Hip Hop artists. Jonathan Michael Richman was born in Natick, Massachusetts on May 16, 1951. In 1970 he founded influential proto-punk band The Modern Lovers. Since the mid-1970s, Richman has worked either solo or with low-key, generally acoustic, backing. He is known lyrically for his wide-eyed, unaffected childlike outlook, and music that, while rooted in rock and roll, often draws on influences from around the world.

Description Earlybirds Club is a dance party designed for women, trans, and non-binary folks that starts at 6pm and ends at 10pm – because we have sh*t to do in the morning! Our DJ spins music from the 80s to 2000s, including pop, hip-hop, new wave, and R&B — you know, the songs you sing at the top of your lungs when no one’s home! Earlybirds Club is more than a fun night out, it’s a supportive space where kindness, good vibes, and sensible footwear rule. Come as you are — there’s plenty of room on the dance floor for everyone. 10% of ticket proceeds benefit SOAR (Sisters Overcoming Abusive Relationships), a task force made up of domestic violence survivors in Rhode Island who are dedicated to using their voices and experiences to end domestic violence.
