Jonathan Michael Richman was born in Natick, Massachusetts on May 16, 1951. In 1970 he founded influential proto-punk band The Modern Lovers. Since the mid-1970s, Richman has worked either solo or with low-key, generally acoustic, backing. He is known lyrically for his wide-eyed, unaffected childlike outlook, and music that, while rooted in rock and roll, often draws on influences from around the world.

Description Earlybirds Club is a dance party designed for women, trans, and non-binary folks that starts at 6pm and ends at 10pm – because we have sh*t to do in the morning! Our DJ spins music from the 80s to 2000s, including pop, hip-hop, new wave, and R&B — you know, the songs you sing at the top of your lungs when no one’s home! Earlybirds Club is more than a fun night out, it’s a supportive space where kindness, good vibes, and sensible footwear rule. Come as you are — there’s plenty of room on the dance floor for everyone. 10% of ticket proceeds benefit SOAR (Sisters Overcoming Abusive Relationships), a task force made up of domestic violence survivors in Rhode Island who are dedicated to using their voices and experiences to end domestic violence.
