CHALUMEAU ALBUM RELEASE

CHALUMEAU is the eclectic pop/rock music project of Katherine Bergeron and Butch Rovan, two Brown University professors with a passion for songwriting. This party celebrates the arrival of their debut album — “Blue” — on August 7. Motif magazine has called their unique sound “genre defying,” in the way it blends a diversity of styles from ballads to blues, bossa nova to Latin, indie to electronica to hard rock.   While Katherine and Butch wrote, performed, recorded, mixed, and mastered all the music for the album, this live release event features a full band of top Rhode Island- and Boston-based musicians, along with other surprise guests. And cake! Follow their progress on:  YOUTUBE https://www.youtube.com/@Chalumeau3000 INSTAGRAM https://www.instagram.com/chalumeau3000/ SPOTIFY: https://tinyurl.com/s63uhkps

COSMIC CHARLIE – High-Energy Grateful Dead

Cosmic Charlie was born in the musical Mecca of Athens, Georgia. From its summer 1999 inception, the band swiftly cemented its reputation as a band that puts a unique and personal twist on the Grateful Dead catalogue. Cosmic Charlie is a Dead cover band for folks that are ambivalent about Dead cover bands. Rather than mimicking the Dead exactly, Cosmic Charlie chooses to tap into the Dead’s energy and style as a foundation on which to build. The result is healthy balance of creativity and tradition, where both the band and its audience are taken to that familiar edge with the sense that, music is actually being MADE here tonight. Moving and shaking even the most skeptical of Deadheads, Cosmic Charlie storms into a town and plays with an energy that eludes other bands, an energy that sometimes eluded the Dead themselves. Those precious moments during Dead jams when the synchronicity is there and all is right with the world –  these are the moments that Cosmic Charlie relishes and feverishly welcomes with open arms. Clearly, Cosmic Charlie’s audiences are also eager to partake in these moments, and together with the band, they have indulged in many memorable evenings. Most nights, Cosmic Charlie walks onstage without a setlist, not even knowing what the first song will be. Any Dead tune can rear its head at any moment, and fan requests are always welcome. “INSPIRATION, MOVE ME BRIGHTLY” is Cosmic Charlie’s mantra, allowing the music to truly play the band.

An Evening with GEORDIE GREEP

Geordie Greep Geordie Wade Greep (born 20 August 1999) is an English musician. From 2017 to 2024, he was the frontman and lead guitarist of the rock band black midi. He met bandmates Matt Kwasniewski-Kelvin, Cameron Picton, and Morgan Simpson at the BRIT School – from where they would then go on to form Black Midi. The group got their start performing gigs at Brixton pub The Windmill, which had been the only one to accept Greep’s emails sent to various music venues. After being signed to Rough Trade Records in 2019, the band has since enjoyed critical acclaim with their three studio albums, Schlagenheim, Cavalcade, and Hellfire. After the dissolution of Black Midi, Greep began a solo career and released his debut studio album, The New Sound on the 4th October 2024. Greep has been characterized by his unique singing voice, considered a result of his accent, which has been described as “geographically unclassifiable”. He often writes dramatic narratives in his songs, with many centered around a specific character seen in Black Midi songs, such as “John L”.
